The first MD2 pineapple crop from Daun Penh Agrico's Ratanakiri farm has reached a yield of 63 tonnes per hectare. The fruit has a Brix level of up to 15%, giving the sweetness and consistency that export buyers look for.
MD2 is widely grown for fresh-fruit export thanks to its golden flesh, low acidity and long shelf life. Each batch is checked for size, colour and sugar content before packing.
